Ten Greek Life organizations at the University of Georgia have received national awards and individual honors in 2026. Chapters from the Panhellenic Council as well as the Interfraternity Council and Multicultural Greek Council were recognized for their work in leadership and philanthropy. Several chapters also received some of the highest honors offered by their national organizations.
The University of Georgia Greek Life Office celebrates 22 fraternity and sorority alumni named to UGA’s 2026 40 Under 40 Class. Greek alumni represent 55% of this year’s class, with honorees representing 17 Greek-letter organizations across the Interfraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Panhellenic Council.

The Omicron Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) at the University of Georgia (UGA) celebrated its Centennial Anniversary on April 17–18, in Athens with more than 350 alumni and undergrads in attendance.
On Saturday, March 28, UGA Miracle announced it raised $1,402,031.26 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at its 31st annual Dance Marathon. More than 2,000 students, faculty, staff and community members gathered in Stegeman Coliseum to celebrate one of the University of Georgia’s largest student-run organizations and its continued commitment to children’s health.
Sutherland’s contributions to sorority and fraternity life is honored through various awards in her namesake, including winning this year’s Most Valuable House Director award in the nation.
The department of Greek Life, in partnership with The Blood Connection, hosted the campus blood collection, inviting students to donate and support local and regional blood needs. UGA recorded 268 donors, including 223 completed donations, with 188 first-time donors and 80 returning donors.
Latin American students at the University of Georgia are few and far between. According to data from 2023, Hispanic or Latino students make up just about 5.8% of undergraduates and 5.6% of graduates at UGA. Despite this, students from Latin American backgrounds make their mark on campus in many ways.
New fraternity members at the University of Georgia filled the Tate Student Center Auditorium on Monday, Sept. 15, for a drug awareness program presented by the Jack O’Kelley Foundation, an organization dedicated to educating students about the dangers of illegal drugs.
On July 17, Children’s Miracle Network awarded UGA Miracle with the Excellence in Event Experience Award at their annual leadership conference held in Kansas City, MO. This award recognized UGA Greek Life student leaders’ work to shift their annual fundraising Dance Marathon event model from 24+ hours to 13.1 hours.
On June 14th, the University of Georgia made history as they captured their first-ever NCAA Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Championship. Among them, three remarkable members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council: Sydney Harris, Aaliyah Butler, and Kaila Jackson.
