Diversity Initiatives

As one of the largest communities of students within the University, the UGA Greek Life Office strives to provide opportunities to better represent the diversity of students on our campus.

Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment

Joining a sorority is an excellent way to meet new people and develop a community of valuable friendships. We encourage you to sign up for recruitment and find out why over 5,000 UGA women decided to go Greek. Because if not now, when?

UGA Hazing Policy

Hazing is defined as any intentional, negligent or reckless action, or situation-which causes another pain, embarrassment, ridicule or harassment, regardless of the willingness of the participant.

  • Greek Life Grand Slam

    Tuesday, March 12th 2024
    5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    Event Location: Foley Field

    The Greek Life Office is teaming up with UGA Athletics to host the second Greek Life Grand Slam! There will be a special Greek Life student entrance, and the first 500 Greeks to check in will receive a free Chick-Fil-A sandwich and commemorative t-shirt! There will also be a prize for the chapter with the best attendance.

  • Morgan Delaney Memorial Blood Drive

    Thursday, March 14th 2024
    9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    Event Location: Tate Reception Hall

    Blood Drive hosted by Delta Gamma and UGa Greek Life to honor Morgan Delaney. During her battle with cancer, Morgan relied heavily on blood and platelet donations. Help make a difference in the community by donating blood on March 14th in her honor. The Blood Connection will donate $20 per donor to the Winship Discovery Fund at the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University. Each donor will also receive a $30 e-gift card.

Spring Greek Park Cleanup

This week, members from Kappa Sigma, Phi Delta Theta, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Nu, and Tau Epsilon Phi participated in the Greek Park Cleanup. More than 70 Greek students came together to clean up the outdoor spaces surrounding the chapter facilities.

The University of Georgia’s Interfraternity Council hosted its annual golf tournament supporting UGA Miracle at the University of Georgia Golf Course. All proceeds from the event will go towards Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the cause UGA Miracle fundraises for.

UGA vs UTK Blood Drive Recap

The University of Georgia’s Greek Life Office held another successful blood drive alongside their partner, The Blood Connection. In the spirit of competition, the first ever Blood Bowl between the University of Georgia and the University of Tennessee Knoxville was held to challenge students to beat their SEC rival while also giving back to their community and saving lives through blood donation.

The Greek Life Office at the University of Georgia hosted the annual Greek Awards Ceremony. Chapter presidents, council members, chapter officers, and chapter advisors gathered to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of UGA’s four Greek councils and their members over the last year.

UGA Student Food Pantry Hosts Mobile Food Drive

Before the Thanksgiving holiday, the UGA Student Food Pantry held their first ever mobile food pantry event. The mobile food pantry was held at the Tate Student Center where students were able to drive or walk up to the mobile pantry and receive up to 12 items from the stock.

UGA’s 40 Under 40 Greek Alumni

Each year, the University of Georgia Alumni Association choses a group of alumni under the age of 40 that have experienced career achievements, achieved personal goals or have been involved in philanthropic efforts to be recognized as a 40 Under 40 recipient. The Greek Life Office at UGA is pleased to announce that 15 of the 40 2023 inductees are Greek alumni.
