OUR MISSION
As one of four Greek Councils on campus, Multicultural Greek Council unites 11 multicultural Greek organizations under the motto “Unity through Diversity.” We prioritize scholastic achievement, leadership, community service, and awareness. Providing resources and support to members, we address relevant issues and act as a liaison to the broader Greek community and the University of Georgia.
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
I am thrilled to introduce you to UGA’s Multicultural Greek Council, one of the largest in the Southeast! The MGC is a diverse and vibrant community, dedicated to ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds have a place in Greek life. We celebrate all cultures while fostering the values of brotherhood, sisterhood, and cultural advocacy.
Joining an MGC organization is an amazing addition to the college experience. It allows you to develop leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Each organization has a unique heritage, and I encourage you to explore and appreciate their individuality. Personally, I believe that joining my organization within MGC helped me grow closer to my roots, and this is something I wish for every member. No matter your background, the friendships and memories you create in our council will last a lifetime. I look forward to seeing your growth and success at the University of Georgia!

HOW TO JOIN
Each prospective member must attend one of our “Meet the Greeks” events at the beginning of either fall or spring semester. This not only gives you a chance to preview all our chapters, but to gain a better sense of their values and culture. At this event, we’ll guide you on your next steps to joining.
Overwhelmed by the options or missed our most recent “Meet the Greeks?” Submit an interest form and we’ll keep you up-to-date on future new member opportutnities or provide you with advisement.
ACADEMICS AND SCHOLARSHIP
We strive to help all members excel academically. From scholastic incentive programs, pairing together study partners, tutoring programs and scholarships, we aim to provide support for every chapter member’s needs.
CREATING A POSITIVE IMPACT
Serving our community is a major component of our Council. We proudly support The Boys and Girls Club of Athens, UGA Miracle Dance Marathon, Relay for Life, and more with both our time and fundraising efforts. Get connected and learn more on how you can make a difference, too.
