This week, members from Kappa Sigma, Phi Delta Theta, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Nu, and Tau Epsilon Phi participated in the Greek Park Cleanup. More than 70 Greek students came together to clean up the outdoor spaces surrounding the chapter facilities.
The University of Georgia’s Interfraternity Council hosted its annual golf tournament supporting UGA Miracle at the University of Georgia Golf Course. All proceeds from the event will go towards Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the cause UGA Miracle fundraises for.
The Eta Xi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated recently hosted their annual ‘Skee Week.’ This year’s theme was Barbie to uplift the core initiatives the organization stands on. These initiatives are Advocate For Social Justice, Empower Our Families, Building Our Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, and Uplift Our Local Community.

The University of Georgia’s Greek Life Office held another successful blood drive alongside their partner, The Blood Connection. In the spirit of competition, the first ever Blood Bowl between the University of Georgia and the University of Tennessee Knoxville was held to challenge students to beat their SEC rival while also giving back to their community and saving lives through blood donation.
Boonstra Elliott, UGA student and member of Chi Phi fraternity, is leading an initiative to install Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices in 19 Panhellenic sorority houses and 23 Interfraternity Council (IFC) fraternity houses.
