UGA Miracle invites Families to Washington Farms
UGA Miracle hosted their first family day with all members on September 25, 2022. This included our new committee members, leadership, exec, and 11 of our awesome Miracle families.
Just 20 minutes from UGA’s campus, activities varied from navigating the UGA Football and Atlanta Braves themed corn maze, hanging out in the corn pit, watching the pig races, picking flowers, climbing hay bales, enjoying fall foods and so much more.
Jack Trotter, one of the Miracle children, spent most of his time in the corn pit getting to know some of the Family Relations committee members. Jack’s Dad explained his favorite thing about Miracle is that “everyone part of the organization is always so welcoming and makes his kids feel so comfortable!” Jack has been at three of our dance marathons and is excited for another great year.
Additionally, Colby Hetzel excitedly shouted, “best day ever!!” when the color groups for this year were announced. Colby is one of our Family Relations assistant chairs this year, and she helps plan all family days leading up to Dance Marathon.
Jack’s family and Colby really highlighted how we strive to have such a family feel bringing all the excitement we can in all of our events. We had so much fun at Washington farms and cannot wait for the next family day!
