Welcome to the University of Georgia! Dive into the vibrant community of Greek Life, an integral part of UGA's student experience. Join us to learn about the Greek Life Office and its commitment to fostering leadership, community, and personal growth. We’ll explore the four dynamic governing councils:
- Interfraternity Council (IFC): Representing male fraternities, the IFC emphasizes leadership, scholarship, and brotherhood.
- Multicultural Greek Council (MGC): This council embraces diversity and cultural enrichment, supporting fraternities and sororities with multicultural roots.
- National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC): Known as the "Divine Nine," the NPHC focuses on community service and historical African-American fraternities and sororities.
- Panhellenic Council: The Panhellenic Council governs UGA's sororities and champions women's leadership, academic excellence, and philanthropy.

Panhellenic Organizations Help To Combat Food Insecurity On Campus
Hundreds of cans and nonperishable food products line the shelves in a small room in the back corner of the Tate Student Center’s first floor. What people walking through the building might not realize is that inside that tiny room, workers are providing food to hungry University of Georgia students.

Pi Beta Phi Hosts Lemonade for Literacy
Pi Beta Phi held its first Lemonade for Literacy philanthropy event. The event took place on the chapter’s front lawn and was a huge success with the support and participation of over 300 community members.

Alpha Omicron Pi Hosts Annual Battle of the Bands
On April 4th, 2024, the Lambda Sigma chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi hosted its third annual Battle of the Bands philanthropy event. The chapter raised over $25,000 with all of the proceeds going directly to the Juvenile Arthritis Foundation.
