In Greek Life, our mission is to make this large, complex university feel smaller within our 67 chapters. Not only do we want every student to feel like UGA is their home, but we strive to help them create a meaningful experience on campus and beyond.

GREEK LIFE MEANS FAMILY
Throughout my four years at UGA I found a strong community within Greek Life. As a freshman, I went through sorority recruitment to become an Alpha Delta Pi and joined UGA Miracle. Over the years, I grew through multiple leadership and volunteer opportunities while finding my true purpose and passion in life. These highly rewarding experiences not only gave me my best friends and mentors, but they allowed me to find the best version of myself. It provided me with a strong community that I could lean on through everything college throws at you. Greek Life offers so many incredible opportunities, and the more you engage within this community, the more rewarding your college experience will be. Take full advantage of the people and experiences this community has to offer— you won’t regret it.
NETWORKING AND OPPORTUNITY
When you join a fraternity or sorority, you not only join just that chapter, but you gain a much larger community. The Greek Life Office (GLO) is a family on its own. No matter what chapter you joined, GLO is there for everyone. They strive to support each of its members. Visit their office and you will see the welcoming and friendly attitudes even if you don’t know them. When I joined Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc., I didn’t know much about Greek Life outside my own fraternity. Through hanging out in the Greek Life Office, I was able to meet students and staff from other Greek Councils, expanding my knowledge on Greek Life, and make great friends. I recommend for anyone who wants to know more or get involved to reach out— or be like me, and go visit their office!
