Emma Hopkins Honored with Florence Hood Miner Award
The 2023 Florence Hood Miner Award was announced this year at the Delta Zeta National Convention. One of this year’s recipients was the University of Georgia’s Emma Hopkins. According to Delta Zeta, “the award [is] given to members of Delta Zeta who in their junior year made the greatest contribution to their college, chapter and Delta Zeta through outstanding leadership on the campus while maintaining a good academic record.”
“I was so honored to be awarded the Florence Hood Miner Award at National Convention. At the University of Georgia, I am constantly reminded of the appreciation of my efforts from my sisters. So, to be awarded nationally, I was amazed by the kindness from my chapter members and advisors that recommended me for the award,” said Hopkins. “The Zeta Pi chapter has been nothing but great to me and makes every second of my dedication worth it. Being president for the past two terms has been an honor enough, but I am so glad to represent this chapter nationally!”
