Sutherland’s contributions to sorority and fraternity life is honored through various awards in her namesake, including winning this year’s Most Valuable House Director award in the nation.
The department of Greek Life, in partnership with The Blood Connection, hosted the campus blood collection, inviting students to donate and support local and regional blood needs. UGA recorded 268 donors, including 223 completed donations, with 188 first-time donors and 80 returning donors.
Latin American students at the University of Georgia are few and far between. According to data from 2023, Hispanic or Latino students make up just about 5.8% of undergraduates and 5.6% of graduates at UGA. On Saturday, UGA Miracle announced it had raised $1,201,133.25 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at its annual Dance Marathon.
