OUR MISSION
Committed to fostering brotherhood, leadership, and academic excellence, the Interfraternity Greek Council (IFC) at the University of Georgia provides vital support and resources to our fraternity chapters. Through collaboration and innovation, we cultivate a culture of integrity, service, and community engagement, empowering our members to thrive both
personally and professionally.
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
The UGA Interfraternity Council aligns itself with the mission of this university, which has remained the same over the past two centuries: to educate, to serve, and to produce individuals who go on to better the lives of those around them. With 28 chapters and over 3,100 active members, IFC allows our members to truly grow as leaders and build a character of integrity that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. The term “brotherhood” within our organizations is displayed not only by supporting each other in classes and philanthropy efforts, but also by holding each other accountable through the years. In my role as IFC president, I have witnessed this firsthand in chapters as they continue to grow and challenge those around them to be the best versions of themselves. Greek life is not separate from the mission of UGA; it is the best representation of it.

HOW TO JOIN
We have two main periods of recruitment: Fall and Spring. During Fall recruitment, you get the chance to preview all 28 chapters through fun meet and greets. This process provides you a better sense for each chapter’s values and culture. Not all chapters participate in Spring recruitment which allows for smaller new member classes and a more individualized experience.
If you are interested in recruitment, feel free to follow these steps or click “Question Form” to reach a Greek Life Office staff member. You must register and pay to join an IFC Fraternity.
Step 1: Read the IFC Recruitment Resource Guide for all things IFC Recruitment.
Step 2: Register for Fall IFC Recruitment – Opens May 1st.
Step 3: Pay for IFC Recruitment within the registration form.
Feel free to reach out with any questions related to recruitment. Contact information can be found within the Recruitment Resource Guide.
