Alpha Xi Delta

Alpha Xi Delta is thrilled to reestablish the Gamma Upsilon Chapter at the University of Georgia in the fall of 2023!

Founded in 1893 at Lombard College in Galesburg, Illinois, Alpha Xi Delta is one of the oldest women’s fraternal organizations in the United States. With more than 162,000 initiated members, we are a progressive organization dedicated to the personal growth of women. The Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta was installed in 1960 on the University of Georgia campus. Through membership in Alpha Xi Delta, Sisters are inspired to realize their potential through the ideals our Founders instilled in our Fraternity: Sisterhood, leadership, knowledge and service to our communities.

Alpha Xi Delta is looking for founding members who want to empower each other and create a new legacy for UGA. Members of Alpha Xi Delta will welcome you, support you and encourage you to be your best in every way. When you join Alpha Xi Delta, you join a network of members who serve as sources of inspiration, push you to become leaders and achieve your goals and become life-long friends.

The Kindly Hearts Initiative serves as the umbrella to our philanthropic focus on supporting children experiencing foster care or homelessness. Alpha Xi Delta chapters and alumnae associations support key impact organizations making a national or regional difference under the umbrella of our focus as well as the option to collaborate with local impact organizations that support children experiencing foster care or homelessness. Our chapter supports two key impact organizations through fundraising and service opportunities for FosterClub and StandUp for Kids.

Alpha Xi Delta welcomes you to the University of Georgia and we can’t wait to meet you! Go Dawgs!
