The 108th Interfraternity Council President, Emilio Ferrara

Emilio Ferrara is a third year Foundation Fellow & Stamps Scholar from Atlanta, Ga majoring in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology with a minor in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is also pursuing a certificate in Personal & Organizational Leadership through the UGA Institute for Leadership Advancement’s Leadership Fellows Program. During his time thus far at UGA, he has conducted undergraduate research in the UGA Center for Molecule Medicine with Dr. Fikri Avci and in the UGA Biochemistry Department with Dr. Michael Terns. He has travelled to Greece, studied Biomedical Ethics at the University of Oxford, and interned in UNICEF’s Innovation Department in Geneva, Switzerland. He is currently a Venture Fellow with KdT Ventures, an early-stage biotechnology venture capital firm focused on the intersection of science and technology, and plans to pursue a career building the next-generation of leading biotech companies. Within his chapter of Sigma Nu, Emilio served as the freshman philanthropy chair, as a recruitment chair, as the Lieutenant Commander, and as an IFC Clerk. He remains heavily involved in the chapter’s philanthropy, Jam for Cam. Emilio has been a lifelong UGA fan, and outside of IFC he enjoys listening to live music at the Georgia Theatre, playing pickleball, and spending weekends on the lake.
