Local Founding: 1926
Alpha Epsilon Pi's Omicron chapter is extremely rich in tradition and is one of the finest chapters in the country. Founded at UGA in 1926, the Omicron chapter is one of the oldest continually active chapters in the nation. Our house has been at its current location on River road since 1957 and is very close to Sandford Stadium. Famous AEPi alumni included Jerry Reinsdorf, owner of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox; Jack Stahl, President of Coca-Cola; actors Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis; and musicians Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel.
AEPi stresses all aspects of fraternity life including academics, philanthropy, campus involvement, athletics, and social life. The Brothers of Omicron consider academic excellence as fundamental to college life and we are currently the highest ranking GPA fraternity on campus. Furthermore, individuals in AEPi and the organization as a whole regularly contribute to community service efforts through Relay for Life, Dance Marathon, ugaMiracle, and Habitat for Humanity. AEPi also has brothers who hold prominent leadership positions in campus organizations such as JBiz, Phi Beta Kappa, Hillel, Order of Omega, and the Terry College of Business Dean's Council.
AEPi also excels on the playing field, and are actively involved in intramural flag football, basketball, indoor soccer, and softball. Finally, the Brothers realize that having a good time in college is also very important. With a full schedule of band parties, socials, date nights, Beggar's Banquet Formal, and the famous Wild West Weekend in the spring, these guys definitely know how to have fun. The Brothers of the Omicron Chapter of AEPi truly enjoy a balanced, well-rounded fraternity experience.
